Pokémon Dominicana VGC brings together the Dominican VGC community’s rankings, player histories and tournament results. Points come from selected online and in-person tournaments.

No. This is an independent community project, unaffiliated with Pokémon, Play! Pokémon or Limitless. It does not award Championship Points or replace official rankings.

This ranking serves the Dominican community. To appear, you must be listed as Dominican and have at least one counted result; a numbered position has additional requirements.

Your opponents’ Elo helps measure the difficulty of each match, even when they do not appear in the Dominican ranking. Country does not change the points awarded.

It is your rating based on results, starting at 1500. It updates when tournament results are added, not live from Limitless. The whole match counts, not each game in a best-of-three.

It determines your position in the ranking. It usually matches Current Elo, but inactivity can reduce it; new matches always use both players’ Current Elo.

It is your highest Current Elo reached after a counted result in the season. Later losses and inactivity do not lower it. The starting 1500 points are not an earned peak.

Beating a stronger opponent earns more; losing to a weaker one costs more. Between two players at 1500, the winner gains 16 and the loser loses the same; winning at 1700 against 1900 earns about 24.31. Your profile shows each change.

Final placement gives no extra Elo. A 5–2 record against strong opponents can earn more than 6–1 against weaker opponents.

Yes, valid results between two players count in both phases. Top Cut gives no extra multiplier.

Yes: a valid bye in an included tournament with any assigned regulation gives +5 Current Elo, one win and one match toward ranking requirements and activity, including returning from inactivity. This also applies to past tournaments. Weekly changes are still confirmed on Monday.

Yes, ties count. Players with equal Elo gain or lose nothing; a player at 1700 tying one at 1900 gains about 8.31, while the opponent loses the same.

Double losses and automatic losses without an opponent give no Elo or participation credit. A recorded result with two players and a valid winner can count.

You have Elo but still need more results to receive a numbered position. It is not a penalty or the same as being inactive.

You need 5 counted matches and 1 tournament with at least 3 matches each. You must also be listed as Dominican and not inactive. Your position is confirmed when the week closes Monday at 00:00 Santo Domingo time.

High Elo alone is not enough: you need 5 counted matches and 1 tournament with at least 3 matches each. If you have met both, wait until the week closes. Inactive players also have no numbered position.

Inactivity can reduce it by 4% of the remaining points above 1500 for each fully missed week after the grace period, when eligible. For example, the first reduction at Current Elo 1900 leaves Ranking Elo at 1884; Current Elo stays at 1900.

The first 4 fully missed competition weeks have no reduction. When you first exceed that, you must have met the ranking requirements and have at least 1700 Current Elo; reaching that Elo later does not start a reduction during the same absence streak. Only weeks with included tournaments count, from Monday to Monday in Santo Domingo.

Your Ranking Elo is being adjusted for inactivity, but you can still hold a numbered position. Dropping below 1700 does not stop the adjustment; you need to complete the return requirements.

You have missed 8 competition weeks without resetting the count. You lose your numbered position, even if you never had a points reduction, but keep your points and history.

No, inactivity only affects Ranking Elo and your activity status. Your results when you return can change Current Elo as usual.

A week without included tournaments adds no absence and uses none of your grace period. Several tournaments in one week still count as one competition week.

Your points change, but the absence count stays the same and any inactivity adjustment or inactive status remains. You need 3 counted matches in one week to reset it.

Complete 3 counted matches in one week, even across different included tournaments. When that week closes Monday at 00:00 Santo Domingo time, your absence count resets and Ranking Elo becomes your new Current Elo. Until then your return may show as pending; your old points or position are not guaranteed.

Their Current Elo stays, but their position is not guaranteed. After 4 fully missed competition weeks, an eligible player’s Ranking Elo begins to decrease; after 8, they become inactive and leave the numbered ranking.

No, points continue across regulation changes within a season. A new season resets Elo to 1500 and restarts activity, while keeping your match history and archived rankings.

Your points depend on both players’ Elo before each match. Adding an older tournament can therefore change later points, peaks and positions.

The team updates the results and recalculates the points, which can also change later ratings. Report any errors you notice; Limitless corrections are not picked up automatically.

You keep your history if you use the same account. Your name updates when results from a tournament you played are added. A different account does not automatically inherit your points.

Ask the team to review it. If you are not listed as Dominican, you do not appear in the public ranking or have a public profile, though your results still count for opponents.
